Here are some of the people involved in the refit of Madiz.

Konstantinos Kostakos
Chief Engineer of the Madiz for the last 20 years or so.
Regretfully, he died in December 2004.
He was working on the Madiz up to a few days before his death.
May he Rest in Peace.

George Leventis
The new Chief is a fully qualified Greek Chief Engineer
and immediately took charge of the refit of the Madiz.
